Hi there!
- I am a Native British English speaker with a decade of teaching experience.
- I have taught across multiple age ranges from primary to adult learners in diverse settings from private 1-to-1 sessions to schools and refugee camps.
- Having lived and taught abroad has given me a more profound understanding of the challenges language students can face - from daily interactions to specific contexts in academia or business environments.
- I always try to centre my teaching around the people and culture. Learning English is not just learning a language, it is music, history, social norms and eccentricities. Language is a living thing, to be tasted, felt and experienced for it to truly come to life!
I can help students with a wide range of abilities and learning styles. Your objectives are an important part of the process and sessions are specifically designed to meet a student's particular needs.
I aim to cover a balanced mix of all the different areas of language (reading, writing, speaking, listening) as much as possible.
Making mistakes during the learning process is highly encouraged! I always strive to create a supportive learning environment and do as much as possible to build confidence.
I try to use a wide variety of resources based on the student's own interests as well introducing them to influences from the English speaking world to help them use English more and more in their daily lives.
