Good’ day,
I was born and raised in Australia but I currently reside in Europe due to my husband's start-up. I have a degree in teaching and education and I also hold a TESOL certificate and an IELTS teaching certificate.
My first teaching job was as a Primary school teacher for 8 years. I’ve been working on-line with kids of all ages and have experience in using interactive sources such as gamification and e-books. I also incorporate lots of props to encourage my students' learning process and engage them in the lesson. Props get stu-dents' attention and help with recal l I reckon props make the lesson memorable and they provide an anchor for knowledge recall.
I have been working with adults and young adults for the last 12 years who wish to improve their General English skills or Business skills to communicate with other people in English when travelling abroad or in their workplace and I also prepare students for international exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, CPE and FCE. I also help students with more professional needs such as Business, Law, Finance, or Tourism English.
Teaching on-line can be a great challenge for me as it requires to keep learners fully engaged throughout the lesson. The use of different teaching methods help me identify my students needs and evaluate what each learner is capable of.
My flexibility to switch from one method to another also allows me to retain my students for a longer period and offer them control of their learning pace.
In my free time I love to draw and cook. I think the creativity of drawing and cooking is what really excites me just like teaching.
