Hello, my name is Firmina, but you can call me Mina, and it's a pleasure to meet you all. I am an experienced language teacher with a passion for helping students achieve their language learning goals.
With over four years of teaching experience, I have taught English and Portuguese to students of all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced learners. Throughout my teaching career, I have developed a communicative and student-centered teaching approach that emphasizes practical language use and real-life communication. I believe that language learning should be engaging and enjoyable.
I am skilled in teaching a range of language skills, including grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
In addition to my general teaching experience, I have also taught undergraduate students in a university setting. This has given me extensive experience in guiding students with essay, thesis, and literature review writing, focusing on helping students develop critical thinking, research, and writing skills that are essential for academic success.
I also teach English phonics to young learners, focusing on helping them develop their English reading and speaking abilities. I create engaging and interactive phonics lessons that cater to each student's learning style and needs.
