Hello Students,
my name is Nermin Terzic and I am originally from Bosnia and Hercegovina but have been living in the USA for 25 years, but had been living in Germany for 7 years prior. During my time in the USA I have attended High School, studied at an University and worked in environments where knowing the English language was crucial. During that time I have learned to be reliable, professional and knowing every aspect of the English language.
I have successful completed the Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) Level 5 200-Hour Course, where I studied in-depth Methodology, Grammar & Language Awareness, and Online Teaching.
I have also taught pre-school children in a classroom at Zemzem Kindergarten in my home country of Bosnia for 6 months, where I showed my ability to create interactive, engaging, and age-appropriate lessons that balanced fun with foundational language skills. This experience taught me the importance of patience, creativity, and inclusiveness in creating an effective learning environment,
In addition to teaching young learners, I also taught my wife, who immigrated to the USA 8 years ago, the English language. I created lessons to her daily needs, focusing on practical vocabulary, conversational skills, and cultural tips to help her adapt to life in the U.S.
Some of my hobbies include, enjoying the outdoors, watching and playing football (my favorite team is Borussia Dortmund), spending time with my wife and 3-year old son, and travel. I have been in many countries in Europe like Croatia, Spain, Austria, Italy, Turkey and also other fascinating places like Dubai, and many places in the USA.
