I am a CELTA (Cambridge University) qualified English Teacher/Facilitator and have been working in the TEFL industry for around 17 years. I have recently returned to Cape Town after working abroad teaching English for the past 9 years and have been working on online platforms for the past 2 and half years.
I've taught in Cape Town at various language schools, in China as well as at Oxford English Academy in Libya. English is my native language and I originally come from Cape Town, South Africa. I’ve worked as an English Teacher as well as occupied the position of Director of Studies at an International institution. I am well acquainted with English Language Development and Facilitation. I have experience with a range of nationalities, English Language courses and proficiency levels. These include dealing with learners from the Middle East, Europe, Asia, South America and Africa, many of which come for specialized courses such as F.C.E, C.A.E, IELTS and TOEFL exam preparation courses.
I’ve also dealt with a variety of course books and material, many of which are Cambridge University Press or Oxford University Press publications, like English for Engineering, English for Media, English for Nursing, English for Tourism and Travel, English for Technology, General English Development and similar tailor made courses.
My academic background is one of behavioral sciences (psychology) and the communication process; I consider teaching to be both my passion and talent.
