Über mich selbst
Hello! My name is Mariana. I have a Bachelor's degree and hold a TEFL 198 hours Certificate. I've lived in London for the past 25 years and can call the UK my home. The English language has become a part of my life!
I’ve been teaching English for the past few years. My students' ages range from 7 to 50 years old.
I genuinely enjoy teaching and seeing my students’ confidence in using English language grow is an extremely rewarding experience.
In my class, it’s important that the students feel welcome and excited about learning. I do this by connecting with the students and providing them choices for what activities they want to do.
When I plan my lessons, I always keep in mind whether they’re appropriate for the student's age, ability, interests, and motivation for learning English.
In my class there is nothing to worry about if you make mistakes, this is how we learn. I speak 3 languages – English, Bulgarian and Polish. As a language learner, I think there is something really powerful about having a teacher who understands you and can guide you based on their own successful experience of having to learn the language you want to learn. I have been where you are and if I can succeed, so can you.
